About Wednesday Train Nights
On Wednesdays from 7 to 9 PM, the staff of the BSMRM meets to work on the layouts, run trains, have "operating sessions" and other activities. This is not a train show open house. This is a chance to see the work behind the scenes to build and maintain the layouts, and of course, to run some trains. On the 4th Wednesday of most months, we allow guests to join us for these "Wednesday Train Nights." We have had unprecedented interest in these visits by the community, and so to better organize this and manage the number of people, we are now using a new ticketing system. Tickets are $5 per person and should be considered a donation to the work of the museum to promote the hobby of model railroading in the Boston area.
About General Member Only Nights
For people that purchase a General Membership in the BSMRM, we are planning on having an additional four Wednesday nights per year where we will have special events just for General Members. We are still working out what these will be, and we welcome General Members to suggest to us what you would like to see or do. More details to come!
